What are you most proud of?
The cinema room we’ve built. It’s one of the best demo spaces in Canberra and shows people what’s possible.
What has helped the business stay afloat?
Having multiple segments — lighting, audio, and home theatre — so one can support the others when needed.
What’s something you’ve learned along the way?
Never judge a customer based on first impressions. Some of the biggest opportunities come from unexpected places.
Why did you start the business?
It started from a long-standing interest in home theatre and lighting. After running a different business, I decided to build something around that passion.
What’s been one of the biggest challenges?
Location and foot traffic. Getting the right customers through the door has been difficult despite the quality of the offering.
What are you working on now?
Improving marketing and finding ways to bring more people into the showroom to experience what we offer.
What does success look like in the next 12 months?
More consistent customer flow and stronger engagement from the right audience.
